I am using Qt 5.4.3 on an embedded Linux system and am having trouble with Unicode fonts not displaying properly. I can get a custom font loaded but some characters like '◀' or '⏎' are just not visible when the application is running on my embedded system. They display just fine on my PC when running the exact same application. When I use a font that does not have these characters though then on my embedded system it changes them to "?" while on my PC it falls back to an unknown font that does have the characters.

Is there some external component used by Qt for fonts that could be different on my embedded system and possibly cause a problem like this?

      Hi,

Do you have all necessary fonts installed on your embedded target ?
