Licensing Question

Can I sell my application on the android store without a license with the source available online? If I buy an indie license can I sell it and keep it closed source? Or can I keep the source free and rely on add revenue?
I don't have the money for anything more than the indie license, and I would still rather not try and get one unless I know I can make more money than i'm spending.
I don't have a lawyer or anything so if anyone is really familiar with the way these licenses work please elaborate! -

Why would it be ? You don't need to own a big company to be a customer. AFAIK, you fit in the target audience of the Indie Mobile License
