You are using 64-bit QtWebKit binaries with 32-bit Qt, this won't work. You need qtwebkit-Windows-Windows_7-Mingw73-Windows-Windows_7-X86.7z

Why are using files that are considered hidden files ?

Are you using MinGW as a compiler ? If so, then that might be the issue as due to Chromium only Visual Studio is supported.

@Andrew-K-Kabaghe hi and welcome to devnet, if you are thinking about using the Qt WebKit module from Python then you are likely out of luck because that module has not been released with any PySide2 release.

In any case, you should open your own thread about your issue.

i have some progress now.
the performance is much better after i forced to build qtwebkit as "Release" version.
I was not aware about the fact that yocto builds the debug version "by default."
id did the change with extra line in my yocto bbappend file:
EXTRA_OECMAKE += " -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release"

i found this advice in the meta-arago repo from TI.

because when building qtwebkit from branch 5.6 (where qmake is used), the default settings is creating a release version of qtwebkit
