@SGaist I installed Qt using the following commands wget http://master.qt.io/archive/qt/5.15/5.15.2/single/qt-everywhere-src-5.15.2.tar.xz tar -xpf qt-everywhere-src-5.15.2.tar.xz cd qt-everywhere-src-5.15.2/ ./configure -xcb -skip qtwebengine make -j4 sudo make install the problem is no more, apparently you need to build Qt with ssl support . i just installed libssl and built Qt again. Everything works fine now. Thank you.

The installer that you looked at was the Qt online installer (which includes Qt Creator). All files are installed into the directory that you selected in the installer (defaults to ~/Qt/). If the installer fails, no files should be written. After running Qt Creator itself, you'll have some settings in ~/.config/QtProject/QtCreator.ini and ~/.config/QtProject/qtcreator/ and ~/Library/Application Support/QtProject/Qt Creator. https://doc.qt.io/qtcreator/creator-quick-tour.html#location-of-settings-files

@ankush You will need to build your application for every OS you want to support. There are also tools which can help you to do the deployment: https://doc.qt.io/qt-6/deployment.html

I guess something wrong happened when compiling / installing Qt. Qt6Qml is part of qtdeclarative and should be present.

Hi and welcome to devnet, I would do three things: Update cmake to a more recent version Build the latest Qt 6 version Only build relevant modules (others can be added later) Out of curiosity, why build Qt 6 statically on macOS ?

@d_mcknight This issue is indeed specific to Ubuntu 22.04, I came across it today. The solution is to do sudo apt upgrade first. After it, qtbase5-private-dev is not trying to uninstall the whole system anymore.

Okay, So i manually copied all *.dll files from *C:\Qt\6.2.3\mingw_64\bin* into my executable folder and now it runs fine. The above approach means that windeployqt is not copying these dlls from the specified directory. How to avoid these issues in future ?

@Yongs12 Did you take closer look at the error message you get? It tells you what the problem is (hint: it can't find your pro file). You should avoid using paths with spaces.

numeric_limits is defined in std namespace so you should try if including the correct header helps.
