You added the path in Qt Creator, so when you run your app from Creator, you should pick up libraries from that variable. The scope of this environment variable is only within Creator. So, now, from the same terminal session (shell) that you want to use for ldd, you need to do the same thing. Instructions on setting environment variables can be found anywhere on the web; here is one instance.

I'm hoping for an answer on this. Here is a screenshot of the QT Maintenance Tool. Shouldn't I see a way to install the QT Multimedia component here? I have a red arrow where I would have assumed I'd see it (I've seen examples on the web with screenshots showing it.) I have 6.3.1 installed. @Tomi said in QT version and MinGW version: I have many libs, which are compiled using other mingw than 5.3.0. And why shouldn't they work with another version of the same compiler?

@jcarlos said in Qt 6.3.2 - Building for iOS with shared libraries not possible?: The problem is that I get a message saying explicitly that this is not allowed when I try to build from the 6.3.2 sources. So what else should we say - when you get an explicit information that it's not possible then this will be the case.

So here's a bit of data: If I ignore these warnings, and proceed to install, everything appears to work "OK". Keep in mind I don't use Quick or QML, so there may be time bombs in there I'm not aware of.

After several unsuccessful attempts, uninstallations and reinstallations I uninstalled Qt entirely, removed the start menu entries manually, and started from scratch twice. This seem to have solved it.

@Bob64 So it turns out that I should have run the MaintenanceTool from my existing Qt installation folder. I haven't had to do this for a while and the installer I downloaded from the Qt site looked to me like my recollection of the maintenance tool so I got confused between the tools.
