Qt no gui installer
-
Hello there,
I am using UP Board with Ubilinux 3.0. Its an SBC based on Atom CPU. I was trying to install Qt there using the downloaded online and offline installers. The problem I encounter is that as soon as downloading finishes and installing components starts, the window freezes and is not accessible. Looking at the Qt installation directory, the size doesnt change. This ubilinux is based on debian and uses Open Box for gui. I was wondering either there is an offline installer version without having to compile qt from source or anything. I would appreciate all help. -
Hi,
Are you looking to automate Qt's installation so no GUI is presented ?

@SGaist Hello, thank you for answer.
No, I was simply looking for a way to install the Qt without the GUI installer. It turned out that after the installer hanged for around 15 minutes the Qt was installed eventually. The problem occurred during Sources installation. -
I wonder if you are hitting a faulty mirror. Did you try to change that ?

Are you sure you have enough free space on your machine ?

It's been like that since at least Qt 5.7. The installer "hangs" when unpacking sources. Either wait through it or don't download sources through the installer (you can use Qt archives).
And if you want to make a silent install, take a look at @benlau 's qtci: https://github.com/benlau/qtci
