    Hello I was using Qt Creator 4.6.1 and then upgraded it to 4.7.0 with overwrite.

    But every time I start Qt Creator an error message shows up saying that a plugin 'clang static analyzer' has an error. It seems to be still the old version. Is there a way to upgrade it as well?

    Could not resolve dependency 'Debugger(4.6.1)'
    Could not resolve dependency 'CppTools(4.6.1)'

        I first installed Qt with an online installer, then Qt Creator from like an FTP server of qt.io.
        It's installed to Windows 10 Pro x64

          So only Qt Creator ? Or using the online installer which also provide the Qt framework ?

            Of course the online installer, a full installation. But the Qt Creator provided in that installer is version 4.6.1 and I upgraded it to 4.7.0. That might be cause of the problems.

                  @MasterBlade You should rather use Qt Maintenance Tool for that.

                    Yes I tried but there is only a RC version 4.7.1 available. I don't want to try an RC version so I downloaded a stable one from qt.io.

                        @MasterBlade

                        As @jsulm says, the Maintenance Tool is the best, as it sets up all Qt versions in Creators Kits settings, etc.

                        But you can install other Creator versions in parallel, i.e. in a separate directory. The installer already suggests a directory "qtcreator-4.7.0", which you should accept.

                        I have done it like this multiple times and it just worked.

                        Regards

                          Oh I found it when I choose 'Update components'. in maintenance tool. I was always using 'Add or remove components'. That's why I never found it.

                          Thanks for the help!
