    If you check the file qtcreator.pri on Github "https://github.com/qt-creator/qt-creator/blob/4.6/qtcreator.pri", you'll find the following content:

    QTCREATOR_VERSION = 4.5.83
    QTCREATOR_COMPAT_VERSION = 4.5.83
    VERSION = $$QTCREATOR_VERSION
    QTCREATOR_DISPLAY_VERSION = 4.6.0-rc1
    QTCREATOR_COPYRIGHT_YEAR = 2018
    BINARY_ARTIFACTS_BRANCH = master

    It seems to me that this code does not match the code for the released version of QtCreator 4.6. Where can I find the correct code for 4.6?

      Hi @walteste,

      QTCREATOR_DISPLAY_VERSION = 4.6.0-rc1

      That's only a release candidate commit on a work-in-progress (pre-release) branch, not a released tag. Qt's Github repos lag a little behind the official code, which is at code.qt.io, so see:

      • http://code.qt.io/cgit/qt-creator/qt-creator.git/tree/qtcreator.pri?h=4.6 (branch)
      • http://code.qt.io/cgit/qt-creator/qt-creator.git/tree/qtcreator.pri?h=v4.6.0 (tag)
      • http://code.qt.io/cgit/qt-creator/qt-creator.git/tree/qtcreator.pri?h=v4.6.1 (tag)

      Cheers.

        Hi,

        The sources on code.qt.io are the reference for Qt related code. Github is only a mirror.
