@exit8 How did you install Qt (not QtCreator)?

@exit8 Then you should have the examples. Don't know why QtCreator does not show them (did you install QtCreator via online installer too?). But you can still open them manually from QtCreator.

The online installer includes everything that is how I got QtCreator.

            I am on Linux.

@exit8 And did you install a Qt version? QtCreator is always installed, but you have to select a Qt version explicitely.

Qt has to stay free or it will die.

Simply ran the qt-unified-linux-x64.-3.0.4-online.run which I had downloaded from the Download page of the website and kept clicking Next to let it do its thing.
                .

                Solution:
Now I have downloaded the offline installer qt-opensource-linux-x64-5.10.1.run and ran it and kept clicking Next and now the Examples are there.

I don't know what is different between the offline and online installers.

                .

QtCreator is always installed, but you have to select a Qt version explicitely.

The online installer allows you install different Qt versions, so you have to select which one you like to get. The offline installer, on the other hand, only contains one Qt version (which is likely always selected).

Anyway, if you got it working, please close this topic as SOLVED now (button Topic Tools). Thanks.

When installing something you should not just click Next all the time without checking what you're actually doing. No need for offline installer, simply use online installer and make sure you selected a Qt version to install. The installer can't know what you want to install, it is your job to tell it what you want.
