    Hi,

I am trying to establish a DBus connection to the Avahi Service. Unfortunately, the DBus API has a bug: https://github.com/lathiat/avahi/issues/9

In short: to find services in the network, one has to create an service browser object and register your slots on its signals. But there is a race condition between the signal/slot connecting and the sent out signal by the newly created service browser. So, some signals are lost, which directly leads to an incomplete service discovery.

The suggested workaround by Avahi is using a lower layer DBus API. My question: does Qt offer an lower layer DBus API, that can be used like the workaroud suggests: Connecting signals and slots before a connection to a DBus interface is opened.

    Thanks.
