    Does anyone know a list of requirements for Qt positioning to work on Linux?
    I have GeoClue installed, the version mentioned on the positioning page, but when I run

    QGeoPositionInfoSource *pos = QGeoPositionInfoSource::createDefaultSource(0);

    it doesn't seem to work, if(pos) returns false.

    On Android and Windows 10 returns true, so I'm probably doing something right, no?
    Using Qt Creator(latest version), Qt 5.9.4 on Ubuntu 16.04.3, X86_64.

      Hi,

      You should start your application with the QT_DEBUG_PLUGINS environment variable set to one to see what is happening with the position info source plugin.

        @SGaist Thank you, I forgot I had qt.conf inside the build directory and it was trying to load the plugin from that but it wasn't finding it, after I copied the position plugin directory inside my build it works.
        By the way, shouldn't it try to load the plugins from the installation directory if it doesn't find in the application build directory?

          You're welcome !

          No because you are using qt.conf which means that you are telling your application where to find Qt therefore it's where it will look for everything.
