Set query string to URL

i need to open a page on wikipedia based on the provided string. this doesn't work:

QUrl url { "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/" };
url.setQuery(query);
QDesktopServices::openUrl(url);

please help

the problem is that setting the query isn't applied, i.e. the link opens wikipedia main page

p.s. there IS a wikipedia page with query string

Can you show the url once you set the query ?
