I can see how to create a "Main" window, but i don't see a way to create a "Tool" window? Nor a way to change the window flags in the form editor?

Well, a QWindow with the flag for "Qt::Tool" set. Since i didn't find that, i just made a "Main" window, removed the menu bar and tool bar, then during init time, i pass that flag manually. so that worked! :D

        Hi,

Do you mean a QWidget with a call to the setWindowFlags method ?

Since you removed everything from it, why not just a QWidget ?
