TextEdit space size 1/2 of the letters

Hello!
I'm currently experiencing a but.
For some reason in my TextEdit
when i press spacebar the space is only 1/2 of a letter.
Is this an known issue?
I did not mentioned that TextEdit in my code once.Edit:
I only had this problem with qt5 and not qt4.
Is that supposed to be a feature?Thank you!

@MarkoBorkovic I would say it depends on the font you're using.
Did you try a monospace font? -
