From http://doc.qt.io/qt-5/supported-platforms.html it looks like 64-bit MinGW is supported for several different Windows operating systems. However, I can't find the installer for 64-bit MinGW. What am I missing? How can I get an install for 64-bit MinGW?

      Hi Wild Bill,

You're right : it's not in the online installer yet, but the developers are planning to add it there. In the mean time , you will have to compile it yourself.

There is a Wiki page about MinGW-64-bit that can help you further.

      hope it helps,

If a platform is "Supported", it means the platform is tested and bug reports are accepted. However, some supported platforms don't receive ready-made installers.

This is because there are far too many supported platforms. It takes too much resources to provide installers for all of them.

The dev team is thinking about Qt 5.10, so the earliest is December 2017. However, this is not confirmed yet, so it could be even later:

            • https://wiki.qt.io/Qt_5.10_Release

Note: If they start providing MinGW 64-bit installers, then they probably need to stop providing MinGW 32-bit installers
