64-bit MinGW
-
From http://doc.qt.io/qt-5/supported-platforms.html it looks like 64-bit MinGW is supported for several different Windows operating systems. However, I can't find the installer for 64-bit MinGW. What am I missing? How can I get an install for 64-bit MinGW?

Hi Wild Bill, You're right : it's not in the online installer yet, but the developers are planning to add it there. In the mean time , you will have to compile it yourself. There is a Wiki page about MinGW-64-bit that can help you further. hope it helps, Eddy

However, I can't find the installer for 64-bit MinGW. If a platform is "Supported", it means the platform is tested and bug reports are accepted. However, some supported platforms don't receive ready-made installers. This is because there are far too many supported platforms. It takes too much resources to provide installers for all of them. @Wild-Bill said in 64-bit MinGW: Any idea how soon? The dev team is thinking about Qt 5.10, so the earliest is December 2017. However, this is not confirmed yet, so it could be even later: - http://lists.qt-project.org/pipermail/development/2017-June/030094.html

Note: If they start providing MinGW 64-bit installers, then they probably need to stop providing MinGW 32-bit installers
