Low quality while deploying Android app

Hi;
I am trying to deploy my first app on android emulator. Emulator AVD is set with pretty new api Andrid 4.4.2-API Level 19
But the result is bad. Below is screen how app looks like comparing with how should like (desktop PC version).
Why buttons and others were so distorted? It is a matter of API ? -

It looks like you need to set a Layout. There could be more to it than that but I'm not sure without seeing some code.
