Qt Quick Compiler not available for cross-compile
ezerg last edited by ezerg
Hello everyone, I'm trying out the licensed version of Qt5.8, I've installed the package "qt-enterprise-linux-x64-5.8.0.run".
Mi main goal is to test my app (that runs in an ARM device) compiled with the "qt quick compiler", to test it's performance.
I've cross compiled Qt for ARM from the enterprise sources (I've followed the rpi guide but with the "--commercial" flag instead of the "--open-source" one), then I setup my kit, Qt version, qrc containers, etc, everything compiles and deploys just right. But the problem that I'm facing is that if I want to enable the "Qt Quick Compiler" option a warning message appears (next to the checkbox) saying "This Qt Version does not contain Qt Quick Compiler". How can I enable it for my arm device?
Thanks in advance!
Hi and welcome to devnet,
AFAIK, the QtQuick Compiler is a licensed product so you should check with the Qt Company directly. On a side note, it's likely going to be a host tools like qmake or moc so one thing you can try is to copy the one you already have in the binary folder of our self-built Qt.
