Are you sure an app is even allowed to do this?
It would mean it should be able to read and delete data from other apps and normally such
cross overs is forbidden in the mac platform/ closed system. -

cross overs is forbidden in the mac platform/ closed system.I think @mrjj is correct. Without root access I don't think any app would be allowed to erase data that didn't belong to it. Apple is very security oriented like that. If you could erase it, you could do anything to it. Which opens the doors for viruses and malware.
