Were is mimeapps.list in ubuntu 14.04 LTS ?

Can't find mimeapps.list in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.
the install guide at "http://wiki.qt.io/Install_Qt_5_on_Ubuntu" instructs you to open mimeapps.list and
check to see if the following line is present "application/vnd.nokia.qt.qmakeprofile=qtcreator.desktop"
I can't find the "mimeapps.list" under the "application" folder or anywhere else in the machine.
what to do ?
