I'm currently unable to run the online installer for qtcreator with the error message "https://download.qt.io/online/qtsdkrepository/linux_x64/desktop/qt5_56/Updates.xml?-...": Connection closed. Is/are the server(s) currently being worked on?

You might be hitting a faulty mirror.
You should get the QtSdkRepoChooser and modify the mirror used.
