The documentation page Using Qt Assistant as a Custom Help Viewer, section Using Qt Assistant Remotely, describes the remote command activateIdentifier <Id>. This command seems like the simplest way to position the help to a given topic.

However, the documentation does not say how and where to specify this Id in the input files to qcollectiongenerator.

Can somebody point me in the right direction?

No answer - should I take it that Qt Help is no longer supported? A pity, since it still has quite a few bugs.

From my side, I have found an alternative way of positioning to the topic-file named "<ID>.html" via the Qt Help setSource command, so as to display the topic by using :

      setSource qthelp://<mydocname>/doc/<ID>.html

        Hi,

No, it's more likely that you are using a module that isn't that much used by the members of the forum.

You can also bring that question to the interest mailing list. You'll find there Qt's developers/maintainers. This forum is more user oriented.
