Unsolved can't find qt5 commands
-
I've downloaded the 5.7 source files for ubuntu 16.04 linux, run './configure', 'make' and 'sudo make install'
They all passed
However, when I try to run 'qmake' it says:qmake: could not exec '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt4/bin/qmake': No such file or directory
So probably qt4 is somehow installed, or installing qt5 didn't work.
I tried to uninstall qt4-default, but it wasn't installedWhat else am I missing?

Hi and welcome to devnet,
Qt doesn't install itself in a system path to avoid any problem like replacing your distribution provided Qt.
You have to use the full path to the qmake binary in order to use it. You can also add the path to the folder where your custom built qmake can be found to the PATH environment variable.
