I have been trying to Cross Compile QtWebengine for raspberry from a ubuntu PC using GCC linaro compiler.

    I couldn't success so far.

It makes me think if it is at all possible or not?

I know that I can cross compile all other modules but QtWebengine cannot be?

Any help in this highly appreciated as I have spent more than 3 weeks on this already?

Yes it is possible. You can try with my fork
      https://github.com/zevero/rpi-buildqt
(just remove -r from qmake ... its not needed)

However resulting qtwebengine does not allow for mouse interactions ... tested with 5.8 and 5.9.

I got 5.6 up and running with arch (rasp and system) last year, but I have not succeeded with 5.8 or 5.9.
