I just installed Red Hat Enterprise 6.0 with programming support. Then I downloaded QT 5.5.1 and installed it. I ran Creator and as soon as I try to open a project, the UI disappears.

How did you install Qt and Qtcreator? From the repository or manually?
Whats the version number of Qtcreator?
      Are there any error messages?

Try running QtCreator from a console so that you can see error messages.

        Less noise - more signal

./qtcreator: symbol lookup error: .../Qt5.5.1/Tools/QtCreator/bin/plugins/platformthemes/libqgtk2.so: undefined symbol: gtk_dialog_get_widget_for_response

            Hi and welcome to devnet,

It seems that your version of gtk is a bit too old.

@SGaist Thanks! I dumped Red Hat and went back to UBUNTU. My first installation of Ubuntu got corrupted when I watched a youtube video in full screen mode which is why I switched to Red Hat. <sigh> What a journey!
