More than 5 months ago, Digia announced in a blog post that they were going to remove the mandatory sign-in to the Qt Account in the online installer. Digia (or Qt Company) already made a couple of releases since then, but the installer still requires Qt Account login. This can only mean that the company is cheating Qt developers by making untrue statements. See http://blog.qt.io/blog/2015/05/06/changing-qt-account-to-be-optional-in-the-online-installer/

What do you think of this?
I wouldn't mind if the login was mandatory, but I do mind the false promise made by Digia.

        Hi,

Which version of the installer are you talking about ? Just tested with 2.0.2 online installer and if you have all fields empty, you get a Skip button and you can continue the installation process.

OK, I didn't realize this. The installer keeps my previously entered credentials, so I didn't see the Skip button. Thanks.
