As "announced today":http://conversations.nokia.com/2011/05/16/the-evolution-of-nokia-and-ovi/ the name "Ovi" of Nokia's marketplace will be re-branded to "Nokia Services" during the summer:

bq. Starting with first services on some of the new Nokia devices in July and August, Ovi services will be rebranded as Nokia services in a transition expected to continue into 2012. Each of the services under the Ovi umbrella will simply be rebranded as Nokia, with no planned disruption to the service roadmaps.

So now we're going to have Nokia Maps, Nokia Store, Nokia Mail etc? That does simplify the branding quite a bit and makes quite a bit of sense with the move to WP7.

This decision does not make any impact on Nokia's competition with other company, and we do not know what CEO thinking.

If it had no impact, then why hassle with the rename at all?

According to me OVI is good ,,because people are familiar with this name more than one year, Nokia's changing policy is not good, That is why I write we do not think in direction where CEO is going (or thinking).
