[SOLVED] Session management error
-
Good day. I recently installed Gentoo KDE5 plasma desktop. When I run 'screenfetch' command I am getting: "Qt: Session management error: networkIdsList argument is NULL" Does anybody know how to fix this error? Thanks.

hi and welcome
I think you will need a new version of screenfetch that can talk to plasma.
Does it also complain about some QDBusConnectionInterface ? -
Hi. I'm using most recent version from screenfetch-3.6.5 in gentoo and still getting this error.
I wasn't getting QDBusConnectionInterface but instead I was getting:
QStandardPaths: XDG_RUNTIME_DIR not set, defaulting to '/tmp/runtime-me' error. I fixed that error by creating an empty /home/me/tmp directory and setting XDG_RUNTIME_DIR to it.
Now the only error left is this "Qt: session management error" and I cannot find solution to it.

sorry, no cigar here either.

Thats sounds effective too. :)
I wish I knew what it did not like. -
Hi and welcome to devnet,
Out of curiosity, which version of Qt do you have installed ?

@victor2015 I also get this error with screenfetch, could you please tell me how to suppress errors in stderrOut(), thanks and sorry for the dumb question.
I'm running manjaro kde plasma5

I am experiencing presentation of 'Qt: Session management error: networkIdsList argument is NULL' and 'QStandardPaths: XDG_RUNTIME_DIR not set, defaulting to '/tmp/runtime-me'' during utilisation of http://invent.kde.org/utilities/krename via any textual commandline. Is anybody knowing what the causer of this notification is?

@BEEDELL-ROKE-JULIAN-LOCKHART hi and welcome to devnet,
Which Linux distribution are you using ?
Which version of krename are you using ?
Which desktop environment are you using ?
Which terminal application are you using ? -
Please add the exact versions you use.
