[SOLVED] Failed to start program. Path or permissions wrong? (i check the entire web)
-
After a free week i try to run a proejct of mine in Qt and i get this error....(nothing was changed or moved) i can see this is a common issue but nothing i've tried works. The app was running fine 2 weeks ago, i change the folder to my desktop and it worked just one time, when i closed and try it again it was the same problem.

Hi,
which platform??
Are you sure nothing is changed in yourPATH
? Are all the dependencies still installed?More info you provide more probability to get some help you have
-
Hello, im on windows 7 32 bit. Tell me how can i check my path, if you mean projects > Build & Run Build > Run, i play with those and nothing
-
Hi,
I mean the system
%PATH%
environmental variable. Can you use this tool to verify that all libraries needed by you application are installed in your system??
-
Roger that, u talk about this right?
-
Yep,
I see a lot of question mark near the Qt libraries. Are they in the PATH when you try to run the application??
-
well this PATH aint showing them
-
In the original post you said " i change the folder to my desktop ". What does it mean?
Ave you tried to rebuild the app??
-
This post is deleted! -
After unsuccessful attempts to make it run the original folder was here C:\Users\onimusha\Documents\Qt, so i moved over here C:\Users\onimusha\Desktop and i worked just one single time, lol. Why is that??? the app showed up, i closed then it was like before....Failed to start program. Path or permissions wrong?.....the thing is the folder was created there (the Qt folder) and it was working fine while i was doing some tests on my arduino....then a little gnome came and changed something as far as i can see.
-
So do you moved the Qt folder??
Tried to rebuild??
-
Nope, just the serialComTest folder that was inside of Qt, and i did that because of the problem just to test. and yes i rebuild like 10000^10000 times
-
creating a new project on a random place wont work either
-
mmmmm,
I don't know, the only solution I can suggest is try to re-install Qt
-
i did yesterday haha :( please help, there it has to be a way!
-
Tried installing Qt in a different PATH?
Check if the Kits settings are correct
-
I remove QT from C:\ and installed in D:\ - turn off the PC, turned on and see if it worked, same thing....
-
What about the Kits?
-
Please be more specific, i have this by default and thanks for your time. I had the adroid ones too but i remove them yesterday

Hi,
It will sound silly but did you check that you have the executable built ? Some anti-virus software are very happy to just detect that you are trying to create an executable and intercept its creation
