    Hello Community,
i'm new to Qt and this will be my first topic here, because i'm confused about the licenses.
We want to develop a software that sould be sell to our customes, first only on Windows.
    Features:

    • display measurements as charts
    • save measurements as file
    • multi-language GUI
    • communication over serial ports
    • maybe demo version with option to purchase full version

    Deployment:

    • first only windows on usb stick or download
    • later Android over Google Play

Qt has now some Modules like Qt Purchasing, Qt Charts, Qt Virtual Keyboard and on the
download side of Qt is an overview for the different licenses of Qt and i'm confused.

    1. From my point of view, it is not allowed to use the Qt Modules with the community edition. Is that true?
If that is true, we need to use alternatives like wxWidgets, right?

    2. Could we expect any licenses problems for the listed features and our plans for deployments?

    Many thx for your help,
all this license confusions are new for me.

      Hi and welcome to devnet,

      WARNING: I'm not a lawyer

      1. AFAIK, the modules you're listing here are part of the Enterprise/Professional editions and not available with the community edition (and in not even provided in sources). You don't need to use any alternatives, depending on your enterprise size and target audience, the Professional Edition might be suitable for you.

      2. If you want these modules, then you need a license (Enterprise or Professional)

For more information, please contact the Qt Company using the link provided on the download page.

      Hope it helps
