Qt VS addin 1.2.4 & VS2013 express

Hello,

I've successfully installed the latest version of Qt VS Add-in but I didn't see the usual 'Qt5' menu item integrated inside the Visual Studio main menu.
I've VS2013 Express.

Any ideas?

AFAIK plug-ins are not supported by msvs express versions. This is a limitation of msvc express.
For better support you might want to use Qt creator, which can use also the msvc compiler. There is no need to use the addin then.
Apparently, with the new download the remark concerning is isse is no longer present.

@koahnig 's right, the current Express editions (all of them) don't have the plugin support as their paying counter part.

If you really need/like Visual Studio, see if you qualify to use the Community Edition, that is a Visual Studio Professional so it should support plugins (note: i didn't tested it with Qt add-in, but it should work just like the paid editions).

I dont' know if an extension is like an add-in, but I've just noticed I have installed Python Tools for VS2013 express as an extension.
Anyway look below to my answer to @Zlatomir

I realized now I installed the Community version on my pc and I confirm it has Qt5 add-in on it.
