Running Qt 5.4 and the websockets plugin is installed using the Qt Maintenance Tool.

I'm trying to reproduce this example: http://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qtwebsockets-echoserver-example.html

Any idea what can be wrong?

Might be a silly question, but are you sure you are using the correct version of Qt to build your application ?
