Qt SDLC does not include updating tutorials and examples
-
Hi. I am new, but learning pretty quickly. Probably the best way to help novices like me is to keep tutorials and examples up to date, especially the ones the newest novices will hit first.
For OS X and iOS users, we are now on Qt 5.4, Creator 3.3, OS X 10.10, Xcode 6.1, and iOS 8.1, but Qt 5.4 was released today without updating the tutorials to show these versions, and without testing the examples to make sure they work with these versions. Please put someone in charge of including tutorials and examples in life cycle testing for new Qt releases.

Hi and welcome to devnet,
If you have spotted inconstancies in the documentation you can open a bug report about it on the "bug report system":http://bugreports.qt-project.org You can even create a submission with the update to the Qt project.

I'm just opening an SDLC quality control topic, not submitting a global bug report for documentation and tutorials/examples as a whole.
However I have also submitted some specific bug reports, including one when the "Getting Started" "User Interface" tutorial didn't work under OS X, and another when I gave up trying to get Build & Run for iOS to target any device but an iPhone 6.

Then the forum is not the best place for that, there's only a handful if at all Qt developers looking into it, it's more user oriented.
However you can post on the interest mailing list. You'll find there Qt's developers/maintainers

okay. Thanks for the suggestions. In the meantime I went ahead and posted the general concern on the bug reports page as :
