I am using Qt 5,2 on ubuntu 14.04 64 bit.
I have installed mysql server 5.6 from trusty tahr and its RUNNING.
When i try to connect to mysql database i encounter the above message.
what's the reason and of course the solution?

What does QSqlDatabase::error return ?

Did you check with ldd that the plugin has all dependencies installed ?

yeah. Using ldd libqsqlmysql.so i found out that a dependency is missing.
I build a new library using qmake and replaced it.
