[PySide/PyQt] Windows Tablet - Bringing up touch-screen keyboard when focus is on text/lineedit

  • Hi,

I am writing a small Windows application which should be accessible to Windows PCs as well as Windows 8 Tablets.

Normal windows behavior is that when no hardware keyboard is attached (i.e. in tablet mode), touching any text input field will bring up the touch-screen keyboard.

This doesn't seem to be happening in my PySide text/line edit fields. Is there some kind of signal I need to send to Windows to let it know which of my widgets require the Windows touch-screen keyboard?

P.S. If you could also point me in the general direction of information on using touch-screen controls in Qt, that would be helpful -- finger-scrolling, pinch to zoom, etc.

You should also add which version of Qt you are currently using for that. Did you set the Qt::WA_AcceptTouchEvents flag on your widgets ?

    Hope jt helps
