I am using Qt 5.3 and after a fresh install I created a new console application. It builds but it won't run. I am getting this error: dyld: Library not loaded: /work/build/PADDING/lib/QtQuick.framework/Versions/5/QtQuick . I am not sure how to fix this problem.

      Hi and welcome to devnet,

It looks like the install didn't end properly. Did you install Xcode first ?

I tried this on two different machines, the first had it but needed to be updated, and the second I installed after Qt. I believe. Does Xcode need to be installed first?

Yes, it does. It provides the tools you need to develop on OS X e.g. the compiler
