Build the Qt project in Qt creator

I am new to Qt and using Qt creator 3.0.1
when i am trying to compile the qt project in qt creator getting following error;
"Project ERROR: Qmake spec sets an invalid MAKEFILE_GENERATOR"
kindly guide me to solve.

What do you mean by building the Qt project ? A default project from Qt Creator or the Qt sources ?

You can't, building Qt is done through the command line
