Android device won't connect to Qt. I've tried the other solutions. Please Help!!!

My Nexus 4 won't show up in the device list when I try to debug on android. I believe I am using the correct API version. My device shows up under adb devices. USB debugging is enabled. I'm at a loss and I have no clue how to try to fix this problem.
I've tried the solutions found in other threads, but none of them work.
Please help!!!
p.s. I'm using Qt 5.2.1
