since QTableWidget inherits QTableView, this will work. The header is row 0.

Do you mean the horizontal/vertical header ? Either way, you can access the corresponding QHeaderView with "horizontalHeader()":http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-5.1/qtwidgets/qtableview.html#horizontalHeader and "verticalHeader()":http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-5.1/qtwidgets/qtableview.html#verticalHeader Then you can set its height with e.g. setFixedHeight.
