Is there any way to attract attention to my bug report on Qt?
-
I've submitted a report and has received no reaction in 2 days. Usually it doesn't take a lot of time for someone to at least acknowledge the problem. I wouldn't be so nervous usually, but there is a very similar bug opened since September 13, with the same assignee, with no reaction at all as well. It's a critical bug for my application, I can't release a version for OSX 10.9 until it's fixed...

Hi,
If the bug is similar, don't open it twice, vote for the original bug, add comments if you have further informations. A minimal compilable example if it applies etc...
Also don't forget that we are getting close to the end of the year so it also a time for holidays so there might be less people active right now.

Thanks for a quick reply.
I wasn't sure it's the same bug, so I opened a bug report with detailed description and minimal example project. Shouldn't be much of a work for whoever will look into it to close either one if they correspond to the same problem. Here it is:https://bugreports.qt-project.org/browse/QTBUG-35659
I know it's holiday, but no action since September?.. I also realize it's a free open-source project with no guarantee of functionality, no support etc. I just want to have some ETA on the fix, because if it's long enough time I must drop Qt in Mac OS version (of my cross-platform program) and write a native UI. It really is very important to me to fix a Mac version fast.

Your link points to a reply not a post.
No support ? That's what Digia provides, you can become a customer of their services, or hire a professional to fix the bug (e.g. KDAB, ICS)
I don't understand what you mean by "no guarantee of functionality"
You can also ask on the interest mailing to see wether someone else already encountered the problem.
