Qt 5.1 and freescale IMX53 color banding problem

Hi,

I have compiled QT 5.1 everywhere on my hardware which consists of IMX53 but when i try to linear gradient to set the background. It comes up with bending. When i checked the color depth qt is utilizing i got it to be 16 bits per pixel where as the hardware can utilize upto 32 bits per pixel.

Can anyone in here has faced the similar problem and the know the solution for this problem?

There was one post with similar problem and was suggesting to build qt with -depths target-color-depth but there is no switch in the qt configure which allow me to do the same.
