I am using Ubuntu 12.04 and non-alphanumeric characters work outside of qt creator. How can I enable them in qt creator?

      Hi and welcome to devnet,

What version of Qt Creator are you having ? 2.8.1 doesn't show this behavior

I'm also using 2.8.1. I found some more information. I'm using Teamviewer 8 to remotely run the Linux PC. Somehow Teamviewer 8 is causing this problem with Qt Creator, but not with any other application on the Linux PC.

Can you check if you still have the same problem with Qt Creator 3.0RC1 ?

Is this supposed to be fixed for version 3.1.1 for x86, the one built on May 2014?

Because I just was running through this bug and found this thread, installed version 3.1.1 and I still have the bug...

If I read things correctly, it's fixed in Qt 5.3 but I think Qt Creator 3.1.1 might be using 5.2. You can check that in the about box of Qt Creator

You are right (Based on Qt 5.2.1 (GCC 4.6.1, 32 bit)), will try to find a beta version or compile one with Qt 5.3..

                  Thanks a lot

Correct, fixes for this issue were submitted for the Qt5.3 release, most likely you will have to compile QtCreator yourself, at least i am not aware of binaries that would be using Qt5.3
