    Hello everyone!

    When announced yesterday ("Announcement of Qt 5.2 Beta":http://blog.qt.digia.com/blog/2013/10/23/qt-5-2-beta-available/) I tried to get up and running with Qt development for iOS.

    After downloading and installing qt-mac-opensource-5.2.0-beta1-ios-x86_64-offline.dmg I could find the directories in the install path but I was not able to figure out how to connect and deploy to my iOS device.

    Furthermore there is no project template for creating a application for iOS available, even after configuring Qt version, compiler and kit.

    According to the instructions I found here "Connecting to iOS Devices Qt Creator":http://doc-snapshot.qt-project.org/qtcreator-3.0/creator-developing-ios.html , the device should be automatically detected. But there is no entry for an iOS device under Preferences -> Devices to be found.

    What am I missing to get further iOS support ?

    Thank you all for your help and best regards!

    DaBoba

      Hi DaBoba,

      I also noticed the missing iOS preferences item when I was trying to set up the iOS support for Qt Creator 3. I stumbled across this post http://blog.qt.digia.com/blog/2013/10/23/qt-creator-3-0-beta-released/

        Hi IIJu7II,

        thanks a lot for your answer. It helped me very much to solve this issue.

        In the post you linked you can read the following:
        <quote>
        Experimental support for iOS: Qt 5.2 ... (Experimental means that you have to turn on this feature in Help > About Plugins > Device Support > iOS.)
        </qoute>

        After turning on and restarting Qt Creator my iOS device was detected immediately and now iOS is listed as one of the supported platforms.

        Thanks a lot for your help and best regards,

        DaBoba
