Qvfb file/animation files

Hello,
On the qvfb tool, there is a file/animation menu to record animation files (as mng file if I'm right), but after that I can't open them. Under linux, I try with the command animate or display of the imageMagick package... but it's failed.
How do you use them? Is there any documentation?

Thanks, at least I could see something, but the result is useless! More or less like it only displays the difference between the frames...
