No. You can probably make one though.

        Any plans for it?
Is there a patent on it?

I don't think there are plans on it, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be hard to write yourself. As for the patent issue, look at this "link":http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/features/2006/nov06/11-21officeui.mspx . To be sure, you can always drop them an email and see what happens.

I don't see why there is an issue to be honest. As there is prior art to the MS Ribbon. Look up Ribbon on Wikipedia.

As I know Ribbon widget has been patented by MS and any one developing this will have to take permission/license for this.

Regardless of the legal stuff there is a ribbon widget and it is discussed "here":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/forums/viewthread/2425

There is a ribbon control actually: DeveloperMachines "makes one":http://www.devmachines.com/qtitanribbon-overview.html, and they have announced their releases right on this forum. It is a commercial offering though.

@Andre: it's look like another promotion post for a .net control, not even related to Qt

Oh, darn, you're right. I'll get rid of it.
I ended up deleting all this users posts; they were all spamming the same .net component site.

@Andre, it is also a pretty old thread from 2010 you hooked to. Probably best to close it completely.

I responded to a now deleted, new message. As a policy, we don't close threads unless they get out of hand, go really off topic or something like that. In other cases, the mods prefer to keep them open.
