No documentation for managing files with pyside6-deploy?

pyside6-deploy looks promising because it does build a self-contained exe without
- Running
pyside6-deploy -c pyside6deploy.spec
modifies the source file. How can I prevent this? - Compilation takes a very long time for me, but it is pretty hard navigating the docs to understand how to tweak what files are included:
- There are no real examples of spec files for pyside6-deploy or nuitka
- It is hard to understand the undocumented relationship between the pyside6-deploy options and nuitka options
- The two pages of pyside6-deploy documentation mention that you can use a pyproject.toml but I can't find any documentation or examples for that file's format or options.

Right, but aren't there pyside6-deploy specific sections and options that are not documented? Are there any examples out there? Or am I misunderstanding something fundamental and generic about how the pyproject.toml is used? Is this even the preferred way to do this, and if so how would I find out?
