Bug in QtCreator / Settings. Initialization issue?

Re: Adding Linux device with Creator fails
I have re-installed my OS (KDE Plasma 6) and then QtCreator from terminal by "sudo apt install qtcreator".
This installs Version 12.02.
I went to "Tools / External / Configure / Devices" and successfully added a new Linux device.
While Creator was open, I fixed its icon to the dock line and restarted Creator by clicking the icon.
I again selected "Tools / External / Configure". The default selection is "Environment / External Tools". When clicking menu item "Device" nothing happens: I have to click "Cancel" to continue.
When I again select "Tools / External / Configure / Devices" everything is fine from this point. It looks like an initialization issue. Then I additionally installed QtCreator 13.0.2 from Qt Maintenance Tool and started this Creator. Here it is possible do click the "Devices" menu item. The device tab opens with a delay of 1 second but the device test fails.
I hope this description helps to find the bug.

This is not the right place to report bugs.
There is https://bugreports.qt.io/secure/Dashboard.jspa for that. Also, "KDE Plasma 6" is not an OS. If you file a bug please also mention the OS.
