Get back old Qt 5 getOpenFIleName widget in Qt6

Hello,

i upgraded my project from Qt5 to Qt6 and now the QFileDialog::getOpenFileName widget looks like this:

Before, when the program was on Qt5 it looked different:

As you can see there were more shortcuts on the left side that made file browsing much easier. I wonder why it was changed and how to get back the old style? (of course without rolling back the whole project to Qt5)

Do you pass QFileDialog::DontUseNativeDialog as "options" parameter to FileDialog::getOpenFileName?

The old dialog looks like a native gtk (?) dialog. When Qt6 has no plugin for this (anymore), the native dialog can not be called.

This is how i call the file dialog

I don't have the issue with an older version of Qt 6.5.3. It is only with version 6.6.1 that i build from source.

Any idea what i might did wrong?

I configured it this way:

./configure -prefix "/home/developer/Qt/6.6.1/gcc_64" -debug-and-release -xcb -opensource -confirm-license
cmake --build . --parallel

i had issues with fonts as well, so i created a symlink like this

ln -snf /usr/share/fonts .

You forgot some development packages so the gtk plugin is not build. See the configure summary after executing cmake to see what's missing.

i downloaded the latest 6.7.0 now and will try with a clean build from source.

Did you read what I wrote? Then look what the output for gtk is... Really that hard?

@Christian-Ehrlicher @jsulm the issue were missing packages. After i installed libglib2.0-dev and libgtk-3-dev it worked to build Qt qith gtk. Appeared that i had an old version (gtk2.0) that did not automatically updated to 3.0 with nala install update.

Just one thing that you might also have a hint for me where to find the root cause. The contrast of the window is now very low.
This is with the new Qt build. The boarder has no shadow and you cannot really tell where the window ends.

with the old qt build with missing gtk it's more clear

it's the same code, just qt kit changed.

Update:
i changed the IDE theme from flat to classic and back to flat and now the issue is gone. No clue, why.
