      as posted, this thread is kind of useless.

      I think you need to restate in more descriptive terms.

        How to use MinGW-64 & Msys2 with Qt Creator?
        have older version with gcc 4.8 and newer installed today.
        how to include new version to use w Qt 6.4 with qmake
        $ g++ --version
        g++.exe (Rev10, Built by MSYS2 project) 12.2.0

          @kapabahwuk If you want to use Qt then you should use MinGW compiler provided by Qt installer.
          You can add any compiler in QtCreator "Tools/Options.../Kits/Compilers. Then create a Kit and set that compiler in the Kit.
