Qmake does not exist or is invalid -FRESH Install
-
I am having serious difficulties in reinstalling Qt. I have been using it for a while but after a fresh install I am encountering this problem. I am posting everything in screenshots because I am completely out of ideas on what to do next.
Installation:
Error in creating new project though qmake.exe and qmake6.exe exist.
It says qmake is invalid. But he installed it. *I already visual studio on my machine. and MinGW
Nothing works with this Qt. Is there q simple guide anywhere on how to install it correctly *And not occupy 100GB of space.?
I can openthe command terminal with MinGw without a problem

@Ovidiu-Ar said in Qmake does not exist or is invalid -FRESH Install:

Can you also execute qmake.exe there?

I managed to fix this by uninstalling and reinstalling from the offline installer .
From the qt.io pageBut if anyone has a solution it would be nice to know why this is happening. Since I used the standard installation method. (recommended by the installer).
It doesn't make sense and it's confusing. -
@Ovidiu-Ar What happens if you add a Qt version manually pointing to the same qmake.exe?
-
I didn't expect it. BUT THE NEW INSTALL WORKED JUST FOR THE FIRST TWO PROJECTS.
Now it's back to invalid qmake.exe.....Literrally no more then 24 hours passed and it started doing this again.
What is going on? Turns out no matter how many times I install it it does this?
